It’s been exactly one month since I moved into my new apartment. The best part of moving has definitely been purging over half of my belongings and learning to let go of material possessions. It feels so good to start fresh without any unnecessary baggage. A huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders and WOW does my mind feel so much lighter.
Now that I am working from home full-time, I’ve found myself running more errands than usual for things around the house and well Los Angeles traffic makes a typical quick trip to the store not so quick. I do quite a bit of online shopping these days. I love the convenience of online shopping and ability to easily compare/research products. I feel better about my decisions when I shop online and find myself buying more of what I need rather than things I get distracted by in a store and end up not using. Yes, that makes me a compulsive shopper and I’m willing to admit it.
When I found out about a promotion going on right now for free delivery on $35 worth of P&G household essentials using Instacart, it felt too good to be true. A few of my friends have used the service before but it just wasn’t something I had tried out yet. The platform connects you with Personal Shoppers in your area to shop and delivers groceries/home essentials from your favorite stores.
I gave it a try today and decided to stock up on some candles, something that I’ve been meaning to pick up but just haven’t had time to do. I placed my order online and received texts each step of the way. As I followed the progress of my order, I knew exactly when my driver got to the store and when he was en route to my home with the candles. My order was completed in less than 30 minutes. In that time I was able to squeeze in a quick workout instead of sitting in the car!
I loved the experience and plan to use Instacart to order other home essentials like paper towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, razors, laundry detergent, etc., basically all the fun things you don’t want to get in your car and sit in traffic to go get. If you’re an express member, you also receive $5 off their orders and free delivery. It’s crazy how much more time online shopping has given me to do other things in my life. What are some of your favorite places to shop online?

Awesomeness! After driving all week for work, going to get “essentials” is not high on my list to accomplish. But this would be great to try! Thanks!
