How do you make peanut sauce?
Since I’m a huge fan of making sauces with common ingredients that don’t require fancy equipment, this homemade peanut sauce is my go to when I want to whip up a quick meal. Who doesn’t love a bomb no cooking required sauce that you can just stir together in seconds. You won’t need any kitchen gadgets, which means less clean up (yay!). All you need to do is whisk together peanut butter, coconut aminos, brown sugar, rice vinegar, lime juice, garlic, ginger and water. Not a huge fan of peanut butter? Easily swap for almond butter instead, many of my followers actually prefer using almond butter.
Do you enjoy a little kick to your sauces? If you have any sriracha or chili garlic sauce around, add in a teaspoon or two to make it spicy. I encourage you to play around and have fun with this recipe – it’s extremely versatile and that’s why I love this recipe so much!
- ½ cup peanut butter natural, unsweetened
- 2 tbsp coconut aminos (or tamari, soy sauce)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (or maple syrup)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1½ tsp minced garlic
- ¼ tsp ginger powder
- ½ tsp red chili flakes
- 2-4 tbsp warm water
- Whisk all of your ingredients together. Slowly add water as needed to achieve desired consistency for your sauce. Add more water to make the sauce thinner or more peanut butter to make it thicker
